We've REBRANDED!! New site is live!

What's Up Wednesday - 1.27.21

Today I'm linking up with my girls Shay and Sheaffer for another round of "What's Up Wednesday"! These sweet gals started WUW, a little link up party where we all share what’s going on in our crazy lives right now. We talk about food, family, what we’re wearing, what we’re doing, what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post! Let's dive in!!

WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
Lots of yummy things on the menu this week! Chicken Tortilla Soup, Protein French Toast, Chocolate Raspberry Protein Shake. All of these are recipes found in Clean Simple Eats, Lillie Eats and Tells or other macro friendly cookbooks. You can also use Pinterest! Lots of freebies from books like these and other sites!

WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
Our Christmas trip to Utah! We had so much fun with Shawn's family! We played pickleball, watched movies, played games, ate lots of delicious food and just enjoyed spending time together.

WHAT I’M LOVING:
Bryn is at such a fun age and is developing so much right now! She currently is rolling all over the place and getting sassier by the minute. I'm just loving taking in every minute of motherhood!

WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
My Grandma recently passed away so we went to Spokane last weekend for her funeral. It was bittersweet because I know she's back with my Grandpa and so many other loved ones, but I will miss her so much! While we were back in Spokane, we were able to have Bryn meet my other grandparents and it was so special. We were also able to head to our old stomping grounds and take a walk down memory lane!

WHAT I’M DREADING:
I'm not really dreading this, but I am a bit nervous and apprehensive about it. Bryn has been in a DocBand for about 7 weeks now and we find out in a couple weeks if she'll need another one. They are not cheap! Plus as she gets older she likes wearing it less and less. I'm so so grateful for the modern technology that has helped fix her head, but fingers crossed her head will be fixed with this first band and that she won't need another! Here are some progress pics (before on the left and after on the right).

WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
I've been doing a lot of "Finds" blog posts; like H&M Winter Kids Finds, Zara Kids Finds, Amazon Home Gym Finds, etc. It's so fun and I love sharing all my fun finds with y'all!
Shawn and I have also been working on designing and building a dresser for our bedroom. Can't wait to show it to y'all!

WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
Shawn and I have been counting our macros and consistently working out using the Mamele App and cookbooks like these from Clean Simple Eats and Lillie Eats and Tells. The benefits we've seen already in just three weeks is amazing! We feel better, have more energy and are able to think more clearly. If you want to try it out, they have some recipes linked for free on their websites linked above and their Pinterest accounts linked here and here. Let me know if you're interested in learning more!

WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:
Don't ask me why, but for some reason unbeknownst to me I'm watching the Bachelor again haha. I mentally checked out on this show a few seasons ago, but I think I keep watching because it's a good excuse to get together with girlfriends and eat yummy food! Are you watching?

WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
I just downloaded "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" on Audible and have been listening to the entire series again. I haven't listened to the HP books since I was a teenager, so I'm excited to listen to them all again!

WHAT I’M WEARING:
All the cozy sweaters!! Except, it's starting to warm up here in Dallas a bit so who knows...maybe next week I'll be wearing t-shirts haha. But for now, I'm fully embracing sweater weather. Here are a few I've been loving recently or are in my cart!

WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
Shawn, Bryn and I are going to San Antonio for the weekend for a little getaway and to look at the area. We've heard it's beautiful and can't wait to spend some time down there!

WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
Superbowl! Some form of normalcy will be nice! Even if it looks different this year, I'm excited to watch and have something fun to watch!

WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
Not much!

I like that tri-coloured sweater! And I’m sorry about the loss of your grandma.
