Today I’m linking up with my girls Shay and Sheaffer for another round of “What’s Up Wednesday”! These sweet gals started WUW, a little link up party where we all share what’s going on in our crazy lives right now. We talk about food, family, what we’re wearing, what we’re doing, what we’re watching and a little bit of everything else all in one post! Let’s dive in!!
WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK: Lots of yummy things! I’m also working on making freezer meals for when baby boy comes. If anyone has a favorite go-to freezer meal, send it my way!
- Sweet Honey Garlic Shrimp Bowl
- Gluten Free Pumpkin Breakfast Bars
- Autumn Salmon & Squash Bowls
- Protein Peppermint S’mores Mix
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT: Thanksgiving…the food, the company…all the things! We hosted for the first time this year and I loved it! I even got brave and made a couple homemade gluten free pies. How was y’all’s Thanksgiving?
WHAT I’M LOVING: Getting in the holiday spirit and decorating the house with all things Christmas! Bryn loved being able to help put up her adorable little tree this year. I can’t wait to see her experience Christmas this year and really be able to take it in!
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO: A few fun things. We went camping down in Big Bend National Park a few weeks ago and Bryn had a blast! We also took Bryn to the ICE! exhibition at the Gaylord Texan and it was so fun! Her favorite part was definitely the snow tubing…she kept begging Shawn to take her down the slides over and over again.
WHAT I’M DREADING: We found out last week that baby boy is breech and that if he doesn’t turn on his own, my OB will have to perform an ECV (a maneuver to manually flip him) which I’ve heard is extremely painful. So we are trying everything we can to help him flip naturally on his own! This includes seeing a chiropractor that specializes in the Webster Technique and doing all the exercises from Spinning Babies. I really don’t want a c-section! Wish us luck!
WHAT I’M WORKING ON: Christmas shopping! I am so proud of myself this year…I’m almost done and it’s not even December yet. Like, what?! I made a Toddler Gift Guide so if any of y’all need ideas, here ya go!
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT: Baby boy is almost here! I can’t wait to meet him and see what his cute little face looks like!
WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING: All the holiday movies! Cheesy Hallmark ones, classics…bring ’em on! Here are some of my favorites.
- “The Holiday”
- “Home Alone”
- “Holiday in Handcuffs”
- “Christmas with the Kranks”
- “Elf”
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO: We’ve got a Pandora Christmas list on repeat over here!
WHAT I’M WEARING: Whatever fits at this point…haha just kidding. But I have been living in leggings, sweaters, joggers and oversized tees. I’ve never been a huge fan of maternity jeans. I have a few, but I don’t love how they fit and have yet to find super comfortable ones. If anyone has recommendations let me know!
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND: We have a Christmas party at our church and an ultrasound to check on baby boy’s positioning. We’ll also be getting our hospital bags all put together so we’re ready to go whenever! I’ll do a separate post about my hospital bag soon!
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH: Christmas!! My parents are coming into town and it’ll be so fun to have a chill Christmas with baby boy and everyone just hanging out. My sister is planning a Magical Harry Potter themed Christmas and I am here for it! What are some of your favorite holiday traditions?
FAVORITE AMAZON PURCHASE THIS MONTH: This new stroller that will work for both kiddos!! It’s gorgeous, great quality and I’m so excited to use it!
WHAT ELSE IS NEW: Not much!

It was a blast! I highly recommend it…something just so magical about HP and Christmas together! And thank you for the prayers…he did flip and came early on his own so I didn’t have to go through an ECV!!
